MTCIT Announces Closure of Registrations for the Second Edition of the Digital Excellence Award in the Government Sector 2025

The award witnessed broad participation across its various categories, with competition spanning a diverse range of awards designed to promote innovation and digital capabilities. These included Best Digital Government Service for the Business Sector, Best Digital Government Service for Individuals, Best Digital Transformation Team, Best Leader in Digital Transformation and Organisational Change, Best Emerging Digital Employee, Best Entity in Digital User Experience, Best Comprehensive Digital Transformation Initiative, Best Initiative in Innovation and Advanced Technology Deployment and Best Initiative in Digital Community Engagement. This breadth of categories reflects the comprehensive scope of the award and commitment to recognising outstanding efforts across the Government sector at different levels and fields.
This year’s edition of the award forms part of the efforts to accelerate digital transformation and strengthen innovation across Government entities, in alignment with the priorities and targets of Oman Vision 2040. It also supports Oman’s positioning across global indicators related to government performance and the digital economy. It further reflects the strategic role of digital transformation in developing government work environments, improving service efficiency, satisfying beneficiaries and enhancing quality of life.
The Digital Excellence Award in the Government Sector represents a leading national platform for recognising government entities, initiatives, services and competencies in digital transformation. It celebrates projects that have contributed to the development of Government work environments, enhanced the efficiency of business models and delivered more effective digital solutions that meet the needs of beneficiaries. The award also highlights the commitment of government entities to fostering a culture of innovation and digital leadership, whilst encouraging employees to develop practical solutions that keep pace with global digital transformations.
Through its dedicated award tracks, the award aims to deepen institutional awareness of the importance of innovation and digital transformation, encourage entities and individuals to adopt global best practices in the delivery of digital services. It also serves as tangible support for entities and initiatives that contribute to improving Government performance and bolstering Oman’s competitiveness at both regional and international levels.
