The Global Dialogue on AI Governance brings together representatives of the 193 United Nations Member States, alongside representatives of the private sector, civil society, academia and the technical community. It represents the first international platform established by the United Nations General Assembly to facilitate a global dialogue on AI governance. The dialogue aims to exchange best practices, build common approaches to AI governance, ensure that AI governance frameworks reflect the priorities of all countries rather than only those with the most advanced technological capabilities, and ensure that the benefits of artificial intelligence are shared by all.

Meanwhile, the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) Forum, organised by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), will highlight the latest developments in artificial intelligence, connectivity, digital public infrastructure, cybersecurity, digital inclusion and multilingual digital ecosystems.

The forum will also explore ways to establish an enabling environment for addressing emerging challenges, including online safety, misinformation, data governance concerns and the widening digital divide, thereby enabling multi-stakeholder responses to the evolving digital landscape.
